Ministry Update
To say that there's been "a lot going on," would be an understatement! We have had a wonderful start to the year here in East Central Florida. A new lighthouse was formed, with four new leaders working through the GameChangers material. We've recently been informed of our new state leader. And finally, we are only 98 days away from our 50th Anniversary celebration!!

Melbourne Community Lighthouse Open
Our newest lighthouse was opened in Melbourne, Florida, on June 3rd, 2017. The leadership team is comprised of Jan Fredrick, Eslin Flynn, Julia Frey and Carol Whitehead. They had 42 women in attendance for their first meeting!! There was a beautiful time of worship and each of the four team members had an opportunity to share their testimonies. Over the weeks since this first meeting, they have even added another member to their team...welcome, Yvonne Fontenot!!
The team has also spent the last three months working through the first section in the GameChangers materials, and developing their "I" statements, which is an integral part of being a leader in Aglow.
Their next meeting will be held on Saturday, July 2nd, from 9:30-11:30am, at Church on the Rock, 4028 S. Babcock St., Melbourne, FL.
Welcome our State Leader, Sherry Anderson!
On June 2nd, the State of Florida, received the wonderful news that Sherry Anderson had accepted the position as our new state leader! Sherry lives in Panama City and has been serving as our Israel Mandate Coordinator for the region. She has been a part of Aglow for many years, and has served on both the area and lighthouse leadership teams.Please send an email of encouragement to Sherry, as she steps into her new role! Aglow in Your City!
We have continued to receive a high volume of lighthouse interest requests for our East Central Florida Area. Our area is made up of six counties; Orange, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, Seminole & Brevard. Starting a lighthouse in your area is a wonderful way to bring the light of Aglow to your community. It only takes two, mighty women of God to step forward and say, "yes," to the call.
